More About Coach Jon

NASM certified personal trainer, VertiMax Bootcamp instructor, basketball coach, plus a strength and conditioning coach.

Kaker earned his two associates degrees at Santa Monica College in General Education and Kinesiology in 2011. During this time, I became a nationally certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and trained at Gold’s Gym in Venice, “the Mecca of Bodybuilding” for two years March 2012-2014. After my time at Gold's, Bachelors in Kinesiology: Applied Fitness at Cal State University Northridge May 2015.

Athletic experience includes basketball (collegiate and semi-pro), football (HS) and swim (HS). As an athlete, he discovered VertiMax as an extremely effective way to increase his own vertical jump and speed. He created VertiMAX Bootcamp as a way to bring these methods, coupled with his own unique training to athletes of all ages.

2006-2009 Palm Desert High School 3 year varsity starter; 2nd all time in rebounds and blocks, 4th all time in scoring, 6th all time in assists.
2009/2010 College of the Desert; had a triple double (28points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, 3 blocks, 2 steals) against the #10 team in the state for JC against Bakersfield.
2010/2011 redshirt ankle surgery
2011/2012 Santa Monica College; hockey style rotations of 15 teammates wasn't individually glorious for the stat sheet but we finished ranked #15 in the state with this team philosophy.
2012/2013 CSUN tore foot, out
2013 stopped playing college due to injuries, coaching switches and only one year of eligibility left, Kaker just focused on finishing his degree. He started playing ProAM leagues; VBL, JBL, AND1 SPL, DREW, and won cash tournaments in Mexico. Currently I got hand selected play/mentored by Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace in his development program to send players overseas.
