More About Coach John
Former Division I Tight End at Cornell University and the University of Richmond with experience coaching nationally ranked high school programs. I work with athletes of all ages, providing private and group sessions focused on fieldwork—covering footwork, agility, and position-specific skills—as well as strength training to build power, speed, and injury prevention.
I also offer film breakdown, nutrition guidance, and recruiting support to help athletes reach their full potential. Whether preparing for the next level or simply staying active, I offer flexible training options throughout the week.
First Team All-CAA at the University of Richmond, Third Team All-Ivy at Cornell University, and First Team All-Metro at Gilman School in Baltimore, MD.
Each session is customized to the athlete’s position, goals, and stage of development—but every workout is structured, high-energy, and laser-focused on fundamentals and technique. I lead by example and stay actively involved throughout—demonstrating drills, pushing tempo, and matching intensity like a sparring partner in boxing to bring out the best in each athlete.
We start with a dynamic warm-up and movement prep to activate key muscle groups and reduce injury risk. From there, we progress into nuanced footwork and agility drills to sharpen body control, explosiveness, and change-of-direction ability.
Next, we move into position-specific work—route running, blocking, release mechanics, or defensive movement—always tailored to the athlete’s needs.
Sessions often finish with conditioning, competitive reps, or situational drills that simulate game pressure. I also provide real-time feedback, video breakdown (when applicable), and clear guidance for continued improvement between sessions.
