Hi, my name is Joe Van Meter and I’ve spent over 20 years training baseball players of all ages — from youth to college prospects. I specialize in developing complete players through individualized instruction focused on mechanics, movement efficiency, and game IQ. I’ve coached youth teams, led private and small group sessions, and helped athletes elevate their performance at every level.
-Received college baseball scholarships from Arizona State and VCU
-At ASU was College World Series participant and PAC 10 champion
-At VCU my career highlights in order were hitting .347 sophomore year, junior year leading team to a CAA Conference Championship and NCAA regional invite batting AVG .434 (7th best in D1), 108 hits (2nd best conference record), 76RBI,
-June 2010 got drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 21st round as a RHP
-Enjoyed a 16-year professional career, including time in MiLB, the Mexican League, Dominican Winter League, and Taiwan’s CPBL
- Represented both the Dominican Republic and Mexico in the Caribbean World Series
- Known for elite command, athletic delivery, and leadership on and off the field
Each session is customized to the athlete’s goals and current skill level. I begin with an evaluation to identify strengths, weaknesses, and movement patterns. From there, I design a focused plan targeting specific improvements — whether it’s pitching mechanics, hitting approach, infield/outfield work, or overall athletic performance.
Sessions emphasize efficient body movement, mental approach, and transferable skills that build confidence and consistency on game day.
