More About Coach Joe

I've been involved in athletics my whole life. After attending East Carolina University to study Exercise Science, I began to specialize in training athletes. I work regularly with professional athletes and D1 collegiate athletes, as well as weekend warriors and teens. Currently, I'm also the resident strength coach at Team No Excuse MMA and the head coach for Bronco Weightlifting. I'm a USA Weightlifting Level 2- Advanced Sports Performance Coach, and a Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. No matter what your fitness or sports performance goals, you can make it there. I can help.

At the high school and collegiate levels I under-performed as an athlete because I didn't put in the hard work to make my body better. I was on the football, baseball, and wrestling teams, but didn't learn to push my body until my time at ECU. Now, I regularly challenge myself to compete and excel in new sports. I recently placed in my first Weightlifting competition, and I'm training hard for competitive jiu-jitsu and MMA. I'm not a retired athlete... I still am an athlete.

Every session with me begins with a dynamic warm-up. From there, each workout is customized to fit the needs of the client. I use scientifically sound training methods, and challenge your body to adapt constantly. You'll make progress every week.
