More About Coach Joe

Over the past ten years I have had the pleasure of working with athletes throughout all of the competitive ranks, from youth athletes to Division 1 College All-Americans. I am typically sought out for my unique ability to not only understand the ins and outs of sports performance and exercise science, but combine it with a deep understanding of sport, as a result of being fortunate enough to have played at the highest level. This allows me to blend high performance training with injury prevention and post-rehab work, all the while being able to relate to what the athlete is going through on the field, in the weight room, during games, in the classroom, through the recruiting process, etc. It is my hope that the athlete realizes I know what they are going through because I have gone through it myself, and this allows me to make a connection that leads to great improvements in mindset, which ultimately compliment the improvements in speed, agility, strength, and power in a great way. Post training, athletes have gone on to play at Universities such as;

Dartmouth, Cornell, Princeton, Yale, Brown, UPenn, John’s Hopkins, Duke, Stanford, Hofstra, Stony Brook, Fairfield, Holy Cross, Vanderbilt, Lehigh, Villanova, Marquette, Bowdion, Colgate, Bucknell, Syracuse, and more.

Sessions are custom built to the needs of the athlete, but in general, the plan will flow as follows:

Movement Preparation (5-10 Minutes)
Quickness, Agility, Speed (10-15 Minutes)
Power (5-10 Minutes)
Strength (20-30 Minutes)
Energy System Conditioning (10-15 Minutes)
Recovery and Regeneration (5-10 Minutes)
