More About Coach Jenny

I began coaching strength & conditioning in 2012 at CrossFit Defined in Chicago, IL. My focus was on Olympic Weightlifting, sport performance, kettlebells, and training around injuries. Since relocating to California, I've coached both individuals and groups in these same areas. I enjoy working with individuals new to exercise, young adults involved in sport, and adult men and women.

I was both a Division I and Division III collegiate volleyball player. I was recognized as the conference MVP, college female athlete of the year, and honored All-American in my senior year. In my post-collegiate life, I've competed in Olympic Weightlifting and CrossFit at an elite level.

Your first session will include a complimentary movement screen to determine how to best program for you and your goals. This movement screen does not involve any weights, but instead looks at your core movement patterns, identifying weaknesses that will play a major role in how to keep your training safe and effective - I want you to be able to train for a lifetime, and that requires a body that functions at its best!

After the movement screen, I will put you through a general training session to get an idea of how I work with my clients. The exercises I do in this training session will be based on your movement screen and current fitness level. One size does not fit all.

If after our first session you want to move forward, I will begin scheduling more regular training sessions. Regular training sessions will be 60 minutes in length. Typically, we'll spend 20 minutes doing a functional warm up, 30 minutes strength training, and 10 minutes conditioning.
