More About Coach Jeff
Athletes wanted! My name is Jeff King. I am a former Division 1 Collegiate football player at Ohio University. I grew up in Wyoming, OH where I excelled on the football field and in track and field. My coaching experience ranges from coaching and training athletes from the little league level up to currently training an NFL free agent (Larson Graham- stints with the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers).
After graduating from Ohio University with both my BA and MA, I also ran the strength and conditioning portion of a recruiting camp for OU with High School football players, as well as assisted in Defensive Lineman drills.
Directly after college and that camp, I moved back to Cincinnati where I was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Wyoming High School. Along with acting as the Head Strength and Conditioning coach for all sports, I was the Varsity Defensive Line coach for the football team and Defensive Coordinator for the freshman team.
I have moved back to Cincinnati just over a year ago to again pursue my passion in coaching and training athletes to reaching their full potential. Although my main playing background is in football, and track & field, I have experience in training athletes from golf, soccer, basketball, baseball, and wrestling. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your highest goals and potential in athletics, and life!
Athletically I have been lucky to excel in sports all my life. I have played everything from soccer, basketball, baseball, track and field, and most notably football. In High school I competed in Football and Track & Field throwing the shot put. Following high school, I earned a full scholarship to play Defensive Line at Ohio University. During my athletic career through hard work, great coaching, and overcoming adversity at times I was able to acheive:

Now the fun part! The training…My training sessions will be tailored to you as a specific athlete, for your specific goals and sport. I want to make sure to keep them varied and fun so that we never land in a dull moment, but most importantly constantly challenging and evolving so that we can see you evolve as an athlete and a person. Also, I would be able to do 1 on 1, or group sessions!
Every session will begin with a dynamic work out, which is so important to get your body ready to put in the work to become better each and every day.
Next, I am experienced and love training athletes for strength and conditioning in their sports and for overall fitness and health. This will be the bulk of the workout to increase strength, speed, flexibility, endurance, increase in lean muscle, and again most importantly- reducing the risk of injury!
Following this we will make sure to do sport specific movements and drills. Making sure we move our bodies in the ways that you will during competition with increase muscle memory, balance on the field, and also most importantly- help reduce the risk of injury
Metabolic Conditioning is very important in all sports. This will be included at the end of the workout to make sure we are gaining the endurance and capacity to endure full competition and beyond!
Cooling down- This is important to make sure our muscles and bodies remain lose, and the blood keeps flowing to get the full effect of the workout.
All in all, this can be done in an hour or less! Below would be a sample outline:
