More About Coach Jay
I have been around Football & Coaching all my life. My dad was a Division 1 Track Coach since I was born at The University of Maryland, and The Naval Academy. My cousin, Brent Grimes, played in the NFL for 12 years, so being around football has been going on for half my life. I first started coaching at the University of Central Florida, under Coach Josh Heupel, and Coach Darrell Wyatt, being a Wide Receiver Student Assistant Coach. Working with the receivers, kick/punt returners. Orchestrating position drills, working the scout team offense, working with guys before & after practice on catching/fieldwork, and lastly, going over film daily, to beat the defenses daily, with different types of alignments/coverages. Then went to The University of Louisiana Monroe after graduating from UCF, to work with the Wide Receivers as an assistant, under Coach Terry Bowden, and Coach Rich Rodriguez. After leaving that opportunity, recently, I was the Wide Receiver/Assistant Offensive Coordinator Coach, at the John Carroll High School in Bel Air, MD.
I am able to work with any age group, to get you 1% better each day.
I played High School Football at Bishop McNamara High School from 2012-2016. Then went on to play at The University of Central Florida in 2017 & 2018. Played Wide Receiver and was a Return Specialist. Ran a 4.41 40 yard dash at Pro Day, and received a Pro tryout in 2021.
For my sessions, we are going to cater to your strengths, and work on your weaknesses. We cant get everything in one session. Great things take time. With the right teaching, great work ethic, and a willingness to learn, if we get 1% better each day, there is no limit to what we can accomplish together. Stretching, working on footwork, working on catching (with football, & tennis ball), working on route running, & working on setting up routes in different coverages.

Coach Jay is super friendly. He communicates rapidly and is very personable. He arrived early and was amped to work with my son. He shows patience and understanding-especially with a new athlete. Thank you again and we look forward to the next session!
