More About Coach Jason

I have coached athletes for the past 13 years from elementary age to Olympic athletes. I have coached at UW-River Falls, University of Minnesota, down in Texas at Velocity Sports Performance, and now in Iowa working many different athletes. I work with mostly High School to College athletes. I carry USAW, CSAC certifications. I have sent 4 athletes to compete at the collegiate level. Many are having great success and recognized for their efforts in the strength coaches with their current college strength coach.

I have been All-Conference, All-District, Honorable Mention All-State in Football. I also played Basketball and Baseball in High School. I played College Football. I competed at UW-River Falls as on Outside Linebacker/Strong Safety where I played for 3 years before I was injured and transitioned to coaching. I took all of my knowledge and experience playing collegiate sports to how I coach my track athletes. I first learned about sprint mechanics and plyometrics as an athlete in college. What I learned is now carried to what I do with my athletes today.

Speed progression work, Biomechanics, different concepts on utilizing breathing. I can use the wall drill, bands, stairs to emphasize my speed work. We will work coming out of the blocks. Turn around the track. Also a big part of my programming is plyometrics with strength training.

Coach Jason is a one of a kind coach. My son who is a college pitcher has had personal coaches throughout his years from travel ball to High School, but none have ever been as good as Jason. From the very first session mechanics were corrected and focusing on strength training areas that are crucial to a pitcher, but even more important was the confidence that Coach Jason has given my son to compete. Jason was very knowledgeable and able to demonstrate and communicate what was needed to help our son get to the next level of performance. We talked mechanics, form, stretching, weight training. We covered so many essentials in our first coaching session. We are definitely thrilled to find Jason as a personal coach and we are going to be continuing training with him.
