More About Coach Jaron
I've hosted my own youth camp in my home town Cheraw, SC for years during the off season. I've worked with a variety of youth ages 8-18 at various positions with a wide range of experience, skills and knowledge. I've had over 250 kids attend my All- Star camp.
I actively played in the NFL from 2013-2020, after coming in the league as an undrafted free agent. I played 6 years locally with the Arizona Cardinals where I perfected my craft and was mentored by Larry Fitzgerald. My playing career included two years with the Seattle Seahawks, followed by a stint with the 49ers, and again coming full circle with the Cardinals in 2020. I was awarded the Ed Block Courage Award in 2017 after making an incredible comeback from a season ending ACL injury in 8 months.
While at Clemson University, I was voted permanent co-captain in 2012. I was part of a talented Clemson wide receiver core in 2012, that included DeAndre Hopkins, and Sammy Watkins.
I am here to be a mentor and overall football consultant. I plan on utilizing my skills and knowledge to really help a young WR thrive. Regardless with how advanced my athlete may be, I've noticed there is always something new to learn. We will start from the fundamentals in the beginning, such as stance and start, then progress into more advanced drills, like catching over the outside shoulder, working on different types of catches (body catches, low catches, high ball, adjustment catches). My athletes should expect to learn new techniques for getting off the line, whether the defender is pressed or free release, and will be equipped with tools to become an efficient route runner. I plan on utilizing ladders, cones and jugs machine for these sessions.
Off the field, I want to be another resource to assist in recovery strategy, having the right mindset, and offer guidance in game strategy.
