More About Coach James
As a graduate from the University of Central Florida in Sports and Exercise Science, I've had the opportunity to train a number of athletes in different sports.I have trained athletes of all age groups ranging from 6th graders all the way to professional athletes. I am ISMA/AAAI Certified and am progressing toward finishing my NSCA Certification. I have helped many athletes obtain college scholarships in my home state and even had the opportunity to train Jacksonville Jaguar QB Blake Bortles when he was in college. I am currently working with an NFL player recovering from injury to get back into the NFL. I have experience training professional NBA players as well and worked alongside the Orlando Magic as well as up and comers at IMG Academies in Bradenton,FL
I had high achievements in high-school for football and track and field. I hold the 100 meter record at my school for running a 10.8. I was player of the week numerous times in football as well and received the scholar athlete award from my school upon graduation. Injury prevented me from furthering my college career.
Depending on the sport, I start with specific dynamic warm-up drills to prepare my athlete for the day. If it is a strength building day, we start with our explosives exercises first (targeting will tire the muscle group out). On skill days we work on moving,speed, and coordination techniques using cone, parachutes and other fitness material.Every sport and athlete is different, but taking the specific sport and having a game plan I have proven success.
