More About Coach James

While I am new to the realm of coaching, I am excited to share the insight I've gained while training under the likes of several esteemed coaches, such as Tom Kennedy, Jerry Alexander, Sean Graham, and most notably Matt Centrowitz Sr (former 5k American record holder and father of Olympic 1500m gold medalist Matthew Centrowitz). Under the guidance of these individuals, I have learned a great deal on what works, as well as what doesn't work. Each plan I develop for client's will be tailored to their individual running goals, whether that be a personal best on the track, running a marathon, and anything in between.

High School: Cardinal O'Hara High School (2010-2014), Springfield PA

- anchored Cardinal O'Hara to a National Championship DMR at the 2014 New Balance Indoor Nationals (2nd fastest high school time in US history at the time)

Following an initial consultation, I will create a 4-week training plan customized to each client based on their running history, current fitness levels, and future running goals / upcoming races. Clients will be encouraged to communicate with me at least on a weekly basis. If a client chooses a package that includes in-person workout sessions, each session will include a warm-up, followed by a track workout where I will man the stopwatch, communicate in between reps / adjust the workout as necessary, and even help pace the workout if needed.
