More About Coach Jack
I've coached multiple clients independently, providing detailed training and nutrition plans for events ranging from the mile to the marathon. I coach amateurs up until elite level in the NYC area.
I've been a runner all of my life, starting with shorter distances such as the mile, and more recently getting into half marathons and marathons. I love having running in my life and am excited at the opportunity to help running be more enjoyable for you as well.
- Competed in NCAA D1 with Syracuse University, earning All-Academic Big East team
- 12x marathon finisher
PR's:
Mile: 4:32
5K: 16:50
Half Marathon: 1:17:15
Marathon: 2:55:27
A client can expect a personalized workout that they would like to focus on for the week. If they are unsure what to work on, I can provide a recommendation after hearing their goals and current state of fitness. I like to do track workouts to work on specific race endurance, or even go for a light jog to focus on building overall endurance. I will also teach basic warmup, cooldown and strength routine techniques to prevent injury and ensure a successful workout.

Client Reviews
Noah (CoachUp client)
I originally tried to schedule a session with Jack two months ago but he cancelled and rescheduled the session each time on very short notice, and then he finally told me he couldn't work with me. He has completely wasted my time and I don't know why he has a profile on this site if he doesn't intent to take clients. If he didn't want a client he should have told me in the beginning. I am extremely disappointed and frankly feel cheated because I wasted this time instead of being able to start working with someone who actually intended to meet with me.

Jack is helpful in bringing a more scientific and data-driven approach to my running. I am enjoying the process of applying his recommendations to my own routine to make myself an effective runner. His insights and deep running knowledge are invaluable. He suggested improvements in my training and showed me how to implement them. Then, he created a plan to get me ready for my next marathon in Berlin. I fully recommend Jack and look forward to continuing the learning journey with him.
Ashley (CoachUp client)
After one session with Coach Jack, I feel more confident about training for my half-marathon in February. He introduced valuable warm-up routines and stretches to my workout and pushed me to faster time that I wasn't previously capable of.
Lorena (CoachUp client)
Coach Jack was very helpful.
He gave me many tips to improve running. He has a lot of experience running and helps you to get the best of yourself and to run like never before.
Thank you coach Jack!!
Dana Q / Client (Testimonial)
The most I'd ever run was 2 miles (and that was in high school) when I found Jack. The new year (2015) inspired me to work my way up from having basically no athletic background to completing a full half marathon (overambitious, I know). I knew there was no way I could do it alone. I knew a friend who had a great training experience with Jack so I decided to reach out. He was AMAZING. He created a full, realistic training plan for me, detailed nutrition advice, and provided motivation throughout the full 16-week program. He still stays in touch to check in on my progress. He was a great running buddy--always adjusting to my pace and revising workouts as needed--and made time absolutely fly by. We're about to start a new program, and I'm looking to improve my time for my second half marathon in the spring. Whether you're new to running or a pro, Jack is THE BEST.
