More About Coach Greg

I have learned from leading coaches such as Greg McMillan and Jeff Booher. What I bring to the table is not just knowledge in the running discipline but also the human movement and anatomy studies from being certified as a Personal Trainer. This unique merger of running Coach and Trainer is enhanced by a specialization in Corrective Exercise, allowing a holistic approach to problem recognition and injury prevention. I have worked with adult age group athletes competing in long course running and triathlon on a one on one basis and through a private studio.

I currently train and compete in all distances of trail and road running, including many finishes of ultramarathons at epic distances to 50 miles, so far. Xterra Trail Run Series Age Group Champion 2011,2016. Completed Ironman Florida in 2012. Also compete in off-road Triathlons and Duathlons such as Xterra and was invited to compete with Team USA for my age group at ICU Worlds in Alabama in 2013. Competed in USAT age group Nationals in Triathlon and Duathlon in 2015 and invited to Dualthlon Worlds in 2016.
Personal Trainer NASM-CPT #1501202, CES #1519385. Level II certified running coach by Road Runners Club of America and Level II certified in the Lydiard method. Also certified in HRV monitoring by Elite HRV.

A typical session would be based on the initial assessment of the client and where he/she is at in terms of having a solid fitness foundation to build on. Once this foundation has been established the sessions would be tailored to the clients specific goals, such as a Boston Qualifier. I would provide a long term, and a weekly program that would be compared to the clients performance for that week to be considered in the next weeks plan. Each week would build on the previous and would include Speed, Sprint, Endurance, and Stamina workouts with testing to check progress.

Great working with Greg so far!

Coach Greg is amazing. Tons of knowledge.

Very thorough explanation of what is needed to make my goals happen

Great meeting with Coach Greg. We’re signing up!

Greg’s drills are paying off in my racing times.

Coach Greg is great and offers excellent advice on running and maintaining fitness. I feel confident working with him to achieve my running goals and I am looking forward to running faster using the drills and techniques he shared with me. He's also flexible with timing and location for sessions!

Just started with Coach Greg, and he has been amazing! Super knowledgeable, responsive and personable- grateful to be training with him!

Coach Greg is great! I just had my first session today and he listened to my goals and concerns and gave me tons of suggestions and guidance for training going forward. I definitely recommend!

Excellent first session. A lot of detail about the program. Thank you.

Coach Greg took the time to understand my current situation and the specifics of what I need to accomplish running. He was punctual, cordial, and displayed expertise on every area of running.

A wealth of knowledge who will be guaranteed to have a plan for your best performance yet. Looking forward to many great accomplishments with his expertise!

Coach Greg is a great coach. After one session, I felt like my running training was in good hands. He was confident, knowledgeable, and asked all the right questions. Looking forward to our next session.

Definitely what I was looking for. Obviously knowledgeable and emphasized setting a good foundation. Will be scheduling more sessions!

Professional, knowedgeable, kind and courteous. He's everything I could have hoped for in a coach. I'm not an athlete by any means, and was at my wits end about shin splints, and he was able to give me several ideas how to rectify the issue in just one session.

I'm going to try out the advice given for a bit, and if I think I need more help I won't hesitate to come back to him. I am certain that future sessions with him would be fruitul.

Very knowledgeable

Coach Gregg was able to help me identify some parts of my technique that needed improving and helped me get back to the basics in my training. Being an older runner it was great to have a coach that didn’t have a cookie cutter plan and took time to listen.

My first session with Coach Greg was great. I am a total beginner, and he made me feel great about my goal to run a 5k. He is very professional, happy to answer questions, and is a great communicator (in person and over email). I've already rebooked with him and am looking forward to my journey to better fitness with Coach Greg!

Coach Greg was great. I look forward to continuing to work together over the coming weeks.

Within 3 sessions, Coach Greg as designed a plan for me to crush my goal.. Communication is over the top and with his knowledge, I feel stronger every day... :)

Coach Greg was a great accountability coach for me while I was on Vacation in the Orlando Area.
I didn’t wanna take 10 days off & lose what I had worked to build up too.
He was on time & easy to chat with.

I owe my future career to Greg. I was under a tight deadline to pass a physical fitness test with a government agency and running was my weak spot. I had multiple running sessions with Greg and we talked about proper stretching and running technique. However, what separates Greg from a normal coach is that he built up my confidence and always told me that everything that was holding me back was between my ears. Thanks to Greg, I have passed my physical fitness tests and am on the fast track to a long career with the US Government. He's very professional, returns your messages promptly and knows what it takes to accomplish your running goals regardless if its for a marathon or a government position.

This is my first experience with private coach and I’m very glad that I made this decision.
Greg is a very professional coach and he helps me significantly to progress. My vote 5 out of 5!!!

Coach Greg is well versed, professional and friendly. I hired Greg to help me with my running form and he did exactly that. He accommodated my schedule by coming to my house for training sessions. He came to sessions prepared to talk about my specific questions and issues. It was obvious he spent time outside of our sessions planning or researching how to best help me. Beyond his knowledge and skill; what I liked best about Coach Greg was his approach to the situation. Our sessions felt casual, like I was running with buddy that happen to know a lot about the sport and sessions never felt rushed. When the time comes, Coach Greg will be the first person I look to for advise.

Coach Greg has been an awesome coach to help me come back from injury. I was an avid runner prior to breaking my back. He has put me on a plan that will get me back to where I want to be, in a way that will cause no more injury or pain to my back. I highly recommend working with Coach Greg!

Greg set up a detailed training program based on my busy schedule, including not only a running program, but also a warm-up and cooling routines. This ultimately led me to complete easy first half-marathon without any pains. He is extremely knowledgeable and offers support, and motivation to my workouts. I look forward to more sessions.

Greg Rock provides an exceptional level of professionalism and quality information as a fitness professional. His personality fits with his style of training and while he is capable of challenging a person, he is aware of their needs and comfort level. From the basics of starting a running program to the more complicated aspects of form and footwear, terrain and mindset, Greg is a fantastic resource for anyone seeking a higher level of fitness.
