More About Coach Geoffrey
I have 11 years of experience coaching football and track at the high school level. I have coached wide receivers, offensive line, running backs, and quarterbacks on the offensive side of the ball and linebackers and defensive backs on defense. I also served as the defensive coordinator for a class 4A state championship team. I have coached numerous athletes that have gone on to college and three who made it to the NFL. I have coached every event in track & field but I specialize in sprint and jump events, including pole vault and have coached countless state qualifiers, as well as eight state medalists. I have three years of experience coaching soccer at the high school level and I have five years experience coaching basketball, two of which were as head coach. I have coached at the junior high level for three years coaching football, basketball, and track & field. I take great pride in my knowledge of planning and implementing offseason strength and conditioning programs and bring a decade and a half of experience to the table. I have worked with athletes, ranging in age from 8 to 12 at a summer sports camp, for 11 years where the focus was on overall athleticism. I am first aid and CPR certified and USATF Level 1 Certified.
I was a two sport, four year letterman in high school (crosscountry and track). I achieved All-District, All-Metro, All-Westbank, All-Parish, and MVP honors in both sports. I received Captains Award, Coaches Award, and MVP Awards in both sports. I was a state qualifier in crosscountry and ran track at Northwestern State University. Before high school, I played baseball, basketball, and soccer in youth leagues and in middle school.
A session will be individually tailored to the specific athlete and his or her needs based on factors such as age, experience, strengths, weaknesses, sport(s), season status, etc. An athlete will receive a proper workout, a sport specific workout, and a cooldown. They can also expect high level training with enthusiasm and intensity.
