The Journey

My martial arts adventure began in Scotland, where at age 14 he started training in a small local dojo. Since then his passion for training and teaching has taken me across the globe from the dojos of Japan, to the wrestling mats of Minnesota. I have a black belt in Judo and a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Grappling icon Marcelo Garcia. I am also extremely experienced in several different striking and grappling arts including Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, Submission Wrestling and MMA (Mixed Martial arts) I am also undefeated in MMA competition.

To my students i brings traditional martial arts values and ethos, coupled with the most efficient, competition-tested techniques available. My students learn these skills in a fun, relaxed and safe manner while enjoying a fantastic workout. I strive to provide you with the best martial arts experience you can get and am extremely proud of what i do.

I started out competing in Judo and won the Scottish schools and Scottish National championships in my teenage years. At eighteen I moved to Minnesota to train and compete full time. It was their that I went undefeated in MMA competition acquiring a record of 6-0 and winning many BJJ competitions.

The sessions usuall last an hour and start out with a quick full body warm up. Then we move to the technique portion of the class, here depending on what you want to study we will look at ground or standing techniques and use different training methods to polish them to their very best.
