More About Coach Etay

I've been a professional swimmer for 17 years, I have had many private swimming lessons with young kids from the age of 5-12, I've also worked as an assistant coach for my club on my free time, coaching professional athletes at all ages and preparing them for competitions.

I've represented Israel in 5 European swimming Championships (15th place finisher), 1 World swimming Championship and won multiple national championship awards. I am a 4x NCAA qualifier representing the University of Arizona and an All American in the 400IM. In 2017 I won a silver medal at the US Open National Championship, a runner-up to a World Champion Chase Kalisz. I am a 5 times 4th place finisher at the PAC 12 Conference championship, and a Silver medalist at the ACC championship in the 400 IM.

It depends on the level of the swimmer. When it comes to more mature swimmers where they need more speed/aerobic and anaerobic practices I will write practices that builds their speed and endurance along with technique. When it comes to younger kids who want to gain confidence in the water I will help them develop skills that will make them feel confident and comfortable in the water. For a mature swimmer a practice would look like a 15 minutes of warm-up (swimming), right into a main set of about 30-35 minutes, right into a recovery/speed sets to finish up a great session. For the youth ones I will make them associate swimming with something positive by building confidence, working on swim skills and more.
