More About Coach Eric

I've spent years as a trainer, coach, and athlete. Worked in the University of Michigan athletic department for 3 years (football, basketball, track & field, gymnastics, more). Now coaching and training ski racers spanning ages 12-22.

I'm a registered ATC and CSCS, and have specific interests in youth coaching, strength and power development, and injury avoidance. My focus is on improving performance through a blend of traditional weightlifting and unconventional cross-training. Sessions will be tailored to specific needs and sport.

My personal endeavors are filled with skiing, mountain biking, mountaineering, and weightlifting. Always looking to push the limits and see how to perform better in sport and life.

College ski racing- University of Michigan ski team, 4x regional qualifier, 2013 National competitor
Mountain bike racing- ultra endurance events, Enduro racing, occasional Downhill
Mountaineering- summited Mt. Rainier, 20 of Colorado's 14ers (competitive summit times with running solo ascents)
Athletic Trainer- University of Michigan Athletic Department. Worked with All-American Football, Men's Basketball, and Track athletes. Also worked for Olympic medalists on Men's gymnastics team.

Every session always begins with a dynamic warmup. The "meat" of it may include power work, plyometrics, strength, core work, endurance work, or more. The end usually includes mobility exercises and maybe other complementary recovery work.

Sessions are always a bit different from the last one, building in complexity and difficulty. Weekly plans are structured to fit together in accordance with the athlete's needs and goals.
