More About Coach Eric

I am currently a top 75 Football Coach in CoachUp for the state of Florida. I have been a coach with CoachUp and have worked with multiple clients on both the offensive and defensive line. I have also ran a football clinic for individuals ages 5-15 that included all positions and skill levels. Finally, I used to be a Life Skills Coach for individuals with disabilities at Key Human Services, but this was outside of the football realm. I will work with age groups ranging from youth to high school, but will work with collegiate athletes as well, given this opportunity arises. Finally, I have an ACE Personal Trainer Certification, as well as a CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

The highest achievement I earned was the Gatorade Defensive Player of the Year in 2014 for the state of New Hampshire, as well as high school team captain and an appearance in 2 State Championship Games. I could have played at the Division 1-A level but ultimately chose to attend the University of Missouri instead to be with my older brother at school.

Clients can expect a variety of drills to improve their defensive techniques, speed, agility, and overall strength/endurance. My main experience comes at the lineman positions, so to paint a picture, I will give a specific session plan to train defensive lineman, but the overall methodology can be changed/applied to any position. For technique, drills will include work moves to get to the quarterback (rip, rip check, counter rip, swim, and skate rush). For speed, drills will include high knees through bags to a full on 5 yard sprint, 5/10/20 yard sprints and back, and For agility drills, this includes ladder drills, tag drill, ball scoop, and 3 cone drill. For strength training, this will include push ups, sit ups, side crunches, medicine ball throws/slams and burpees. Finally, for endurance training, drills will include 110 yard sprints in under 20 seconds (8-12 times during session), half mile to mile runs with gradual time improvements, 5 minutes of running stairs, and jogging at a constant speed for 10-15 minutes and gradually increasing this time as sessions continue.

Client Reviews

Eric has been working with my 11 year old son for the past few weeks and his coaches are starting to notice a difference. His form and stamina are slowly improving. Eric takes the time to listen and pinpoint where my son is struggling the most so he can help with certain trouble spots. Eric’s positive attitude and patience has played a big role in helping my son as well.

Eric Glassman was a blessing to coach, and to see develop in the four years that I coached him at Bedford High School. He had an extremely high motor, was relentless off the edge, and very coachable. His selfless team first attitude allowed this team to see him as Captain material, and he earned that title has senior year.
