More About Coach Emma
I’m a strength and conditioning coach with experience training athletes from youth to professional levels. At Bando Performance, I work with athletes across a variety of sports to develop speed, strength, power, and overall athletic performance. I also completed a Division I internship with Boston University’s men’s and women’s ice hockey teams. Currently, I serve as Director of Performance at Austin Prep through Bando Performance and as the strength coach for Woburn High School’s hockey and football programs. My primary focus is on helping high school and collegiate athletes reach their full potential.
I was a multi-sport athlete in high school, competing in both soccer and lacrosse. Those experiences taught me the value of versatility, hard work, and teamwork—qualities that continue to shape me as a coach. While I chose not to play in college, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science to stay connected to athletics in a meaningful way. Strength and conditioning has allowed me to turn my passion into a career and give back to the athletic community that shaped me.
Each session follows a structured, progressive approach designed to develop every aspect of athletic performance. We begin with movement prep and stretching to improve mobility and prepare the body for training, followed by full-body activation through exercises such as lunges, crawls, and core work. Next comes locomotion, or what many know as a dynamic warm-up, to enhance coordination and elevate heart rate before higher-intensity work. From there, we move into speed development using the 1080 Sprint or Arena Gear timing gates to train acceleration, mechanics, and top-end speed. The plyometric portion of training includes jumps, throws, and hops—often measured with Hawkin Dynamics Force Plates to track jump height and force production. We finish in the weight room with full-body strength training, accessory work, and conditioning tailored to each athlete’s individual needs.

Bradley M - Austin Prep Baseball (Testimonial)
Great training environment for athletes looking to go to the next level. We had Emma Duffy help our baseball team preseason, helped us gain speed and strength going into the season.
Lucci - Austin Prep Softball (Testimonial)
I have enjoyed getting to know the trainers at Bando Performance in Woburn. One of the trainers, Emma, is such a caring, kind, and determined person. I had the opportunity to train with her within my school to prepare for my softball season. She has pushed both me and my teammates to be the best possible versions of ourselves! I love working with Emma because she takes the time to make sure all of us are doing the workouts right, and she helps those who have minor injuries by showing them alternate workouts and stretches that they can do at home or in the gym. We appreciate all the advice she gives us not only during workouts, but also on the mental aspect of our sports as well. I love training with her and definitely recommend this place!
