More About Coach Emily
I have experience training athletes of all levels and athletic abilities in a variety of sports—middle school, high school, collegiate, and professional—mostly volleyball, soccer, basketball, but also golf, tennis, football, rowing.
I’ve worked at EXOS Performance at the Stub Hub Center in California, VIBE Volleyball Lab/Performance, and private training.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer through The American College of Sports Medicine and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Soon to be a Certified Health and Wellness Coach, which gives me deeper knowledge in Nutrition, Mindset, and Recovery.
I’ve been an athlete and a dancer my whole life. Once I got to college I traded in to learn more about life in the gym with strength and conditioning. I started playing beach volleyball for fun in college—my game on the court improved as I worked to get stronger off the court.
I’m 5’2 and I was able to train my strength and power to the point where I can jump high enough to swing at the net.
I am always striving to improve my game on the court, in the gym, and especially in my mind.
I like to start with movement preparation, which includes controlled rotational movements, muscle activation, dynamic stretching, and corrective exercises. Then I move into main lifts and “core exercises” (primary movements). Depending on where the athlete is in their season and what their goals are will determine specific programming.
I also run plyometric sessions where we focus on control, balance, and elements of speed and movement for more foundational or special skills.
I have a full squat rack in my garage, barbell and dumbbell training, TRX, bands, medicine balls, pull up bars, dip bars, etc.

Evan (Testimonial)
Emily has provided me with amazing growth in strength, mobility and athleticism. Before I worked with Emily I was out of shape and unmotivated. Now I am in the best shape of my life and I have been performing much better in the sports I play. Emily has a great program, she starts by identifying where you are currently at physically and then works with you to develop your goals. Then she develops a program specifically for you. For me, my first goal was to get back into shape and get stronger. So our first couple month a of training was focusing on building core strength and moving up gradually to get the correct form. Now I am working on more explosive movements to help me improve my performance in volleyball, and I have noticed that I can jump much higher and can play for longer. Overall Emily can help anyone that is looking to improve their fitness and can work with all levels of experience! -Evan
