More About Coach Edward
I have been giving private football lessons for the past year. I was a former assistant coach at Eastern New Mexico University before leaving the program after I graduated. I played football at Division 2 Eastern New Mexico University where I was an 2nd Team All-Conference Linebacker. I also played a couple years for New Mexico Military Institute Junior College before ending up at ENMU.
I enjoy working with athletes of all ages and levels, but I especially enjoy working with high school and college bound athletes because I can make the biggest difference in their game both physically and mentally.
My coaching is based primarily on principles and techniques that are aimed at improving the athletes speed, agility, flexibility, lateral quickness and football skills and knowledge. My specialties include footwork, one on one drills, running mechanics, agility, how to get off blocks, 40 yard dash, 3 cone drill, "L" drill and development of football knowledge.
I usually start my workouts with a dynamic warm-up and an explanation of what drills and exercises are going to be done and what I expect the athlete to really focus on during the workout to make sure they get the best out of it.
I don't have a specific place to conduct the training sessions at, I am mobile and like to workout where ever there is a nice open manicured field. In San Antonio there are plenty of places like this so I am not against meeting in your neighborhood. I have all the equipment necessary so that is not a problem.
