More About Coach Dylan

I've worked with athletes of all ages (ages 8-65) for five years. My first training position was at the Patti & Allan Herbert Wellness Center in Coral Gables, FL, training collegiate athletes -- primarily football, lacrosse, and tennis players -- as well as general fitness clients. Following this, I worked at The LOX Performance training primarily football and baseball players at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels including athletes like Sedrick Irvin, Maurice Alexander, and Mario Magana Jr. Following my time at LOX, I trained elite baseball players at Elite U Sports Performance in South Miami working predominantly with football, baseball and Track & Field athletes of all ages and experience levels, including Jacoby George, Sal Stewart, and MJ Melendez

In terms of certifications, I became a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) under the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in June of 2021 and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) under the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in February of 2023. I am also a Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC) under the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) since May of 2023.

I was a three-year varsity starter in football and a four-year varsity starter in lacrosse at my high school. Following my graduation, I earned a tryout to walk on to the University of Miami (FL) football team. Following this, I decided to set my sights on training athletes using the knowledge I had acquired from my own development as an athlete. I also competed at the club collegiate level for lacrosse at the University of Miami.

A typical session will always begin with a dynamic warmup to elevate body temperature and prepare the tissues for remodeling. Following our warmup, we will perform a short series of preparatory work and activation geared towards the macro focus of our session (acceleration, agility development, strength/power, conditioning, etc.). Then we'll begin our developmental work for the day -- sprinting, plyometrics, timed efforts, olympic weightlifting, and/or heavy strength work -- depending on the focus for our session, followed by our supplemental work to address individual acute imbalances. Our total session time will last anywhere from 60 minutes to 2 hours, depending on individual needs.
