More About Coach Dorian
I am a USTFCCC certified track coach that has been coaching sprints in Ohio throughout the years since 2009. I started out as an assistant sprint coach at Amherst Steele High School in 2008. I then became assistant sprint coach at St Joseph Academy (SJA) High School for the 2021-2022 track season. Even with the short stent at SJA, I coached a Sprint Medley Relay to the indoor National Championships., whereby the team got 3rd place. My talents were recognized by Lutheran East High School and was offered the head boys & girls track coach position, where I assumed the role for this past 2022-2023 track season and current. I also assisted with sprint mechanics & relay exchanges for the AAU team, Ohio Elite, with ages 13-18.
During my track career, the accomplishments I achieved, include but not limited to, High School State Champion, which lead to a full scholarship to The University of Illinois Champaign. While at the university, I was named Big Ten MVP, I was 4th place in the NCAA Championships in the 400M, I was a part of the team that won the Big Ten Championships and I was a participant in the 1996 Olympic Trials.
Session plans initially start with getting clarity on the athlete's "Why," identifying their goals, our expectations of one another and discovering their limiting belief, which progress for all will be evaluated at the end of each session. The training program will then be created around these discoveries. Training will have mental & physical components. Some examples of mental components include, being able to focus, visualize, identify & learn how to overcome their limiting belief & learning to overcome performance anxieties, if any exists. Some physical components include: proper sprint mechanics, speed drills, plyometrics, block starts, resistance running, proper breathing techniques and any other event specific training that may be required to reach the intended goals.

Dorian Green is an top notch sprint coach! He has personal experience and a knowledge base that is difficult to find. Just read his profile! He is able to draw on his experience to take his athletes to the next level. He connects with them because he has been where they are. He coaches the whole athlete too - not just skills, but also the mental aspects. We highly recommend him!
