My coaching background spans endurance running and athletic development, from varsity high school basketball to ultramarathon preparation. I work with runners at every level: beginners building their first training base, road runners chasing PRs, and trail athletes preparing for 50K and beyond.
My approach centers on periodized, personalized plans built around each athlete's life, schedule, and goals. I emphasize sustainable progression because consistent training over time beats heroic efforts every time. Athletes I work with get structured weekly plans, regular check-ins, and coaching that adapts as their fitness does.
I am currently pursuing UESCA (Ultra Running Coach) certification to complement my hands-on coaching experience with evidence-based methodology.

Seven years of competitive endurance running as a self-coached adult athlete.
Road: 2:56 marathon PR (self-coached from 3:44), Chicago Marathon 2019 (3:19), LA Marathon 2025.
Trail and Ultra: 10+ ultramarathons completed, multiple 50K finishes within 10 minutes of 5 hours at Mt. Hood, Moab, and Smith Rock, Wildwood End-to-End (30+ miles, Portland) completed four times, pacer and crew for 100-mile races.
Adventure: Mt. Hood circumnavigation (40 miles, 13 hours), Presidential Traverse in New Hampshire (20 miles, 6 hours), 8-day 200-mile Run Across Haiti in 2019.
These experiences give me firsthand knowledge of what athletes face across the full spectrum of endurance running, from race-day execution to multi-day expedition logistics.

Every athlete I work with gets a fully periodized training plan built around their specific race, goal, and life schedule. Not a generic program.
Here is what to expect: an intake conversation to understand your background, goals, and availability; a multi-week plan with daily workouts, target paces, and effort guidance; and weekly check-ins to review progress and adjust as needed. Training plans are delivered through VDOT or Google Drive depending on what works best for you, so your workouts are always easy to access and follow.
Plans are structured around build, peak, and taper phases with deliberate recovery weeks built in. I track effort using RPE and heart rate, not just mileage, because completing sessions pain-free and consistently matters more than hitting arbitrary numbers.
Whether you are 8 weeks out from your first half marathon or 22 weeks out from a 50K, I will build something that gets you to race day fit, confident, and ready.
