More About Coach Daryl
I have been offered to coach college football the last four years. I currently coach 4 of the top 5 running backs in the state. Which 2 of them are the top 5 players in the 2015 class. I coached 1 Michigan Dream teamer and 3 all state running backs in the pass two years. I also coach and mentor a lot of division 2 running backs as well. I coach ages 8-22.
Finished 10th in GLIAC history in league rushing yards with 3,000. MTU record 307 yards on 36 carries with four touchdowns against Gannon ... named D2Football's national offensive player of the week and was featured in Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd. Played in all 11 games for MTU as a true freshman ... named to the All-GLIAC First Team ... selected as MTU's top freshman male student-athlete.
Daryl Graham was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He graduated from Wayne State University in the spring of 2009, where he was a student athlete. Graham is known for his maturity and hard work on and off the field. He started his football career when he was ten years old, playing for the Detroit Broncos. He is still considered one of the top football players to come through Detroit PAL. He had over 5,000 career yards (with an amazing season of over 2,000+ yards in 8 games), over 60+ touchdowns (with a standout year of 28 touchdowns) as a Running Back. Graham continued his career at St. Martin DePorres H.S., where he started as a true freshman, and won 2 State Championships, all Detroit selection for 3 years, and all state selection for 2 years. He ended his high school career with over 4,800 yards and 40 touchdowns in four years as a Running Back.
Graham was highly recruited by the big ten, but due to his size he was overlooked. However, Graham was offered a scholarship from Michigan Tech University to play football. He played as a true freshman and rushed for 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns. During his sophomore year, Graham had a breakout game where he rushed for 306 yards and 4 touchdowns in one game which led him to be recognized in Sports Illustrated “Faces of the Crowd”. Graham transferred to Wayne State University, where he was able to be a visible role model for the youth in Detroit.
Graham finished his college career in the top 10 all-time career rusher in GLIAC history. Graham had the opportunity to learn and train with Darnell Hall, Romond Batten, Paul Harker, Dwight Pitlo, Tony Andrew and Jim Kielbaso. He also did an internship with Think Detroit PAL to give back to the youth. He has been able to accomplish all theses things through hard work, determination, and his mature mindset.
