More About Coach Dan

I own and operate Deebo Training Systems where I coach youth, high school, and college athletes. At DTS, we've had 95+% of our high school athletes go on to play sports at the D1, D2 and D3 level, and helped multiple athletes receive full athletic scholarships at the D1 and D2 level. Update (6/4/15): Since the start of 2015, our training programs have helped 2 of our middle school athletes earn positions on the US Football National Team and 4 of our high school athletes receive 1 or more Division 1 Scholarships.

A 4-year starter in college, I was named all-conference, and received regional and national recognition for my success on the field as both a quarterback and a punter. From there, I played 5 years of professional arena/indoor football, as a quarterback and later, a wide receiver, where I helped contribute to three playoff appearances and 1 championship.

A typical session will last 1-hour and cover the 7 R's of training, which include: foam rolling and other self-myofacial release work (Release), corrective exercises and other mobility work (Reset), a full dynamic warm-up (Readiness), sport-specific reactive and alactic power development drills (Reactive), strength development work (Resistance), sport-specific energy systems work a.k.a. conditioning (Regeneration), and post-workout stretching and other active recovery work (Recovery).

I trained with Coach Huff at Deebo Training Systems for about a year and a half, and my experience has been great! I came in at about 180 lbs. and a year later left for my prep school at 195 lbs. It's been so helpful; it's been a place where I've been able to learn and grow as an athlete and get bigger, stronger and faster. When I came in, I couldn't even lift a pound.. Now I'm benching 285 lbs., squatted 400 lbs... it's just amazing how the progress has been. As far as youth athletes or high school athletes coming to train with Coach Huff at Deebo, I think it's a great idea. It's always beneficial to start working with a coach early so you are able to develop properly and learn how it's going to be at the next level, if you want to get that far. For other athletes, I would say Deebo is the place to go because it's not like any other gym.. It's a place where you become a family.
