More About Coach D.J.
I was an Offensive Lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens and the Miami Dolphins before recently moving on to a world without competing in a sport, but instead coaching and inspiring people and youth to compete at LIFE! Youth Development and Life Skills Training are both areas of focus for me, which I feel have both ultimately assisted me with my success in Athletics.
After graduating from the University of Nebraska in 2010, I went on to the NFL for 2 years. I then hurt my back with 2 bulging discs, August(2012), forcing me to either face multiple spine surgeries or come to terms that my days playing football had to finally come to a close.
Thank you for your interest and please feel free to contact me at any time!

My angle of coaching is geared towards "Finishing". Every team I've been apart of after high school has had an emphasis on the Finish! Whatever training we begin, we will be able to finish. Each lesson will begin with a dynamic warm-up, ending in a static cool down stretch, with Position Specific training within each session, customized to meet each athlete at their individual skill set.
As of right now, I'm looking to offer immediate services, to share the skills, techniques, and training that I have acquired through my 17 years of playing football.

Great job!

DJ is an amazing coach! He worked with my 15 year old son on strengthening and conditioning, blocking, agility, and overall lineman skills. He not only worked on physical skills, but on the mental part of football as well. DJ made a huge difference for my son and I can't recommend him highly enough!!

Great experience. If you need technique or movement improvement this is the guy. Very knowledgeable. A+ all the way.
Tom (CoachUp client)
Could not have gone any better with coach dj, he evaluated my sons skill level immediately and directed the session perfectly. My son commented on the ride home that he learned more in that hour than he did the entire season. Tom

Coach D.J. was amazing with my son. In just one session, my son learned new techniques for football, and walked away with so much more enthusiasm and self-confidence in his abilities. Coach D.J. was very professional and organized. My son can't wait to train again. I highly recommend Coach D.J. You won't be sorry!

Testimonial for DJ Jones, I would like to take this opportunity to write about DJ Jones who was my mentor during my time in California for my 400 hour internship. With his college and NFL background, DJ expressed great knowledge in training clients as well as different youth teams, improving their performances for that certain sport such as Soccer or Football. Besides from being a specialist at fitness, he was also able to connect with clients by learning about their strengths & weaknesses, limits to each exercise, and achieve the client’s personal goals. As far as the youth teams, DJ demonstrated a friendly attitude that made the young athletes enjoy his training as well as working hard. Shadowing and assisting DJ greatly improved not only my ability to train clients, but also my confidence and that attitude is everything no matter what field you are in. He taught me a lot about his college and NFL days and the type of training they did such as speed & agility work, strength lifting, and a few fitness tests. One of the major programs DJ and I developed was a speed & agility program for youth athletes where our goal was to improve their performance and increase their chances of playing college or even just playing for the high school varsity team. Working with DJ for 3 months made me gain the experience and knowledge I was looking for in my internship. DJ’s great character and skills as a trainer gives me great confidence to spread my knowledge for my future career in this field. Sincerely, Soroush Pedram George Mason University Kinesiology and Exercise Science Intern
