More About Coach Cooper
I have been coaching football since 1995 and during that time I have coached a myriad of positions, skills, and levels. I moved to the Las Vegas Area after a short stint of College Football, I decided I preferred coaching at the roots. So I switched to High School. Over the years of coaching and training, I found I could make the biggest impact by working with Semi-Private groups on specific skills and drills to accelerate a young persons knowledge, fundamental skills, and physical development.
2003-2005: Auburn Riverside Varsity Assistant
2006-2012: Chaparral High School, Varsity WR/DB, Special Teams Coordinator, Head JV, Head Freshman
2013-2015: Sunrise Mountain High School, Varsity Defensive Coordinator, Linebackers, DB's
2016-2020: Desert Oasis High School, Offensive Coordinator, OL Coach, WR's and RB's, Head JV/Freshman Coach
2021-Present: Co-Owner of All For 1 Fitness
I have most recently worked with athletes ages 8-23. Some of my athletes have accepted Div I offers (Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, UNLV) and Dvi I FCS, DIv II, NAIA
I have previously worked with athletes that made Olympic Team, and NFL
Cornerback at Eastern Washington Univ. 1998-1999, Mount Si HS Varsity CB 94, 95, Varsity Football, Track and Field and Baseball, Mount Si HS Graduate 1995
I was not a heralded athlete coming out of HS. Attended a Community College without football, worked and trained for 2 years and toured all the DIv I-AA and Div II schools in Washington. Was given my best opportunity to compete at Eastern Washington University. I earned everything through grit and determination. Was an non-invited Walk On at Eastern Washington University (Big Sky Conference) and was 2 out of 26 that made it through the Walk On process. After my eligibility ran out, I moved to Dillon Montana where I began my College coaching career at University of Montana-Western.
2 time Southern Nevada Coach of the Year in Track and Field
I start every session with a prayer of thanks and gratitude, then focus on a variety of Footwork, Run Mechanics, Hand Eye Coordination, Route Running, Press Beaters, Coverage skills and techniques. All sessions begin with warm ups, run techniques then transition to mental focus drills, then we focus on our concept of the day. After drilling the daily concept in a variety of drills, we apply the drill in a live situation vs coverage or routes. The goal of every practice is to ultimately apply the techniques and drills into the game of football.
