More About Coach Chula

I have just been hired as a Performance Coach over at Elon University where I will be assisting with Football, and coaching women's Soccer, as well as women's golf.

I spent the last year working with the Minnesota Vikings as a Strength and Conditioning Intern. I was a part of the training process from the offseason program up until our trip to San Francisco to take on the 49ers. This improved my overall knowledge of the sport and the training process, but also taught me how to be a pro.

Previous to that I was a Strength and Conditioning coach at Compete Indoor Sports in Norwood, MA. We coach athletes aged from middle, high school and college athletes. I also have experience training collegiate athletes as I was a Boston University Strength and Conditioning Coaching Intern during the summer of 2017. Shortly after I graduated High School, I was employed by a family friend to help his son train to become a quarterback. My clients father sent me his highlights later that fall and I watched my client throw a 40 yard pass in stride to an open reciever, in addition to returning a kickoff for a touchdown I enjoy working with athletes of all ages in order to find ways to elevate their game, as well as the way they look at the game mentally. At Compete we specialize in giving each athlete an individualized exercise protocol to specifically fit the needs of their sport(s) and to help them meet, and exceed their goals. I am going for my CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in the Fall)

I played College Football at Springfield College, on the undefeated 2017 team. The team won the NEWMAC conference, and made the NCAA playoffs for the first time in a number of years, hosting the first round contest. After playing my freshman and sophomore years as a linebacker I changed positions. I played Tight End for the Springfield College Pride and was one of eight members of the 2017 team to earn First Team All Conference honors. I was one of many leaders on the Springfield College offensive line that helped lead the country in rushing.
At Milton High School I was a three sport Captain. I played Football, where I was a First Team All Bay State Middle Linebacker, as well as Wrestling and Baseball. I was a very versatile baseball player as a standout catcher, third baseman and utility outfielder. In a recent conversation with my head Baseball coach I was informed that he thought I should have played at Springfield College due to the fact that he believed I could play anywhere on the field.

Client Reviews

I met Chula my sophomore year of high school at Compete Strength and Conditioning when he was a intern there. Immediately I could tell he was something special. Day in and day out he worked his butt off setting up drills and doing whatever was asked of him. I admired his work ethic and his willingness to help others. His enthusiasm never lacked and he could always be heard anywhere in the gym. Chula built up a reputation that earned him respect from everyone in the gym. I got to know Chula on a deeper level through talking to him at workouts. He had a background in wrestling and I was a current wrestler for my high school, so he offered to do privates with me. Chula’s dedication and selflessness was so apparent. We would do our workouts at 6 in the morning because that was the only time he could do before he started work. He was so busy, but he still found time to help and develop my craft as a wrestler. We would also watch film together on other wrestles and analyze them together. This would be done late at night after his long day at work when he was extremely tired, but he did it anyway because he wanted me to succeed. The best way to define Chula is a “work horse”. His motivation and determination drove me to do better and work harder. That year I beat regional champs, state champs, and even new england champs and I truly believe I was able to accomplish that with the help of Chula. By the end I built a strong relationship with him that people dream about with their trainers. He always wants the best for me and stays in touch even to this day. Looking out for me and being a good friend. I can say with great confidence he was one of the best trainers to train me throughout my years at Compete. I would highly recommend Chula to anyone who has big dreams or goals that they want to accomplish because with Chula’s determination and motivation anything is possible and he will do anything to make sure you are successful.
