I am a Former D-1 and overseas professional basketball player, with a substantial understanding of sports performance fitness and nutrition as well as 15+ years of basketball coaching experience. I am a U.S.A. Basketball Certified Youth Development coach as well as founder and basketball director of a Youth Club Program (R.I.S.E.) designed specifically for sports, mainly basketball, performance. With years of training experience of all ages and skill level, including a projected first round lottery pick in the upcoming 20’-21’ NBA draft.

Driven by my sheer love for this game, I pride myself on teaching the finer points to all ages. Through my organization, I have been able to develop a specialized individual and group training program for anyone wanting to be the best they can be. It starts with the desire to learn!

I am proud to say that I competed at the highest level during each phase of my career. In high school, I played for Germantown Academy who produced a long list of top D-1 recruits including Alvin Williams (Toronto Raptors). Upon graduating, we were ranked #12 in the country with major wins over the #5 and #9 ranked teams in the country. I went on to play at Bucknell University (Patriot League) where I was challenged yearly with non-league schedule. It paid off in 2005, when our team made a deep run in March, including beating the Kansas Jayhawks. After college, I tried out for the Philadelphia Sixers and participated in their training camp. Upon the conclusion of camp, I went overseas to continue playing professionally in Germany for five (5) years.

Each session is geared specifically toward the individual player. Prior to our first session, I will contact either the player or parent to determine the skill level of the athlete as well as goals and expectations. These in-depth conversations will help in tailoring these sessions. Once we have established the athlete’s skill level, I will design a detailed training program consisting of primarily skill development drills for the player. A player can expect a challenging yet fundamentally customized workout designed for each individual's needs.

As a coach, I am not doing my job if the player is not fully challenged. We can either coach a behavior or we can accept a behavior and with that comes an utmost and keen eye to the little things (DETAILS). With that, I GUARANTEE A HIGH DEGREE OF TRAINING.

This class will be 2-fold. It will consist of basketball training (with & without a basketball) as well as basketball concepts; how to think the game. My primary goal is to make sure each player leaves KNOWING they just got better. It will be fun, challenging, and uptempo. Younger athletes will be challenged and pushed from start to finish with an underlying nurturing theme. At the end of our time together, they will have made valuable strides in leadership, communication, team work, and confidence. It’s important to me that they are great individuals both on and off the floor.

We all know no two players are the same nor should they be treated as such. Our sessions will be based specifically on skill level, position, and their goals, both lofty as well as immediately.

Each class will have the same format: Warm-up, Workout, and Review.
*Warm-up: dynamic stretching exercises as well as injury prevention techniques

*Workout: basketball training drills specific to the player’s goal(s) as well as what the coach sees.

*Review: the most important part of the session is the comprehension and understanding. We will review our discussions held throughout the class and the specific basketball drills. Players will receive a challenge (optional) to complete between classes that will help them prepare for the next class.

Coach Chris is a great coach! He taught my son many things which included dribbling, shooting, and endurance. We first start with dribbling drills in the first class then we moved on to more movement based things like layups then they practiced shooting forms which is a thing my son isn't good at. He gave affective homework assignments to do at home that was both useful and as I said effective. Great coach overall!

Coach Chris is preparing me for my Cadet Fitness Assessment, a requirement for admissions to the Air Force Academy. I’ve been a bit idle for the last few months, but he has motivated me to push my limits and gain the strength and endurance I need. He has a friendly approach and engages in conversation, while still putting me through his customized routines. I was feeling it the first few times, but it’s worth it.
