Presently, I coach a large youth track team in Fishers. Responsiblities include Sprints, Hurdles, & Javelin

My athletic background includes:
1986 State Hurdle Champion
- 2-time Indiana All-State and All-American
- US Track Team Representative & Europe Track Champion in the 100, 200, 4X100, 4x400, 2nd in High Hurdles, 2nd in 400m Hurdles, and 4th in the Javelin
- Featured in Track & Field News Magazine
- Ranks 9th in Indiana history in the 300m low hurdles
- 5-time All Missouri Valley Conference
- Family Displayed in the Indiana Track and Field Hall of Fame 2014
- Inductee in the Indiana Sports Hall of Fame 2024

I have coached several high school state champions in the hurdles in Indiana & Nevada which has led many to college scholarships, and NCAA Championships, Olympic Trial qualifications, and Junior Olympic All-Americans. Me, My brother and son are one of ONLY family to win multiple state championships in Indiana in the hurdles.

State Champion in Hurdles, HS All American, All MVC in hurdles. Displayed in the Indiana Track and Field Hall of Fame 2014 along with brother (Rory Norris) and now son (Madison Norris) who are the ONLY family (3) to all win state championships in the same event (Hurdles) - 86', 89', 91', and 2018' (5 total state championships in 110m & 300m hurdles). Hurdle records still exist at a number of high schools around Indiana including Franklin Central, Lawrence North, and Hamilton Southeastern. My daughter is also a 2x National Champion, a 2x National RunnerUp, and 7x All-American in the Javelin.

Will first evaluate "where the athlete is" initially. then will design a tailored program depending on where they are. Normally my instruction is on the fundamentals of form and repetition. Also included is video so that the athlete can review at their own time where they are and what they need to do to continue with progress. Will also provide workouts that they can do on their own.

Chris was wonderful. My daughter hadn't been coached in running hurdles by her high school coaches. Chris went thru many drills and was able to teach her proper technique in the first hr. She was greatful that Chris not only told her if she did something right or wrong but explained why it was right or wrong. Chris is very encouraging and our first experience was wonderful, we will be back.
