More About Coach Chris

I competed as a Division 1 nose guard for 5 seasons at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Following my career as a student-athlete I worked on the Strength & Conditioning staff as an intern for 4.5 months coaching football, wrestling, and Women's basketball. During my time at Cal Poly I was fortunate enough to compete, train with, and coach individuals who currently play in a variety of professional sports. I was mentored by Dr. Chris Holder who has been a Division 1 strength & conditioning coach for over 10 years. I was also fortunate enough to learn from Mr. Chris White who currently works as an assistant strength & conditioning coach for LSU. I'm a nationally certified personal trainer under the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and I'm a certified level 2 Russian Kettle Bell Instructor. I currently work as a full-time Personal Trainer for Equinox in Los Angeles' South Bay Club.

I attended De La Salle High School and competed on the varsity football team in 2008 and 2009. My senior year I was elected defensive captain, I received the team's Most Inspirational Player award, and assisted my team in winning the California State Championship. During my time at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo I was named to the Big-Sky Conference all-conference team in 2013 and 2014. In 2014 I was elected defensive captain and named the teams most valuable defensive lineman.

My sessions include a sport specific warm-up involving body weight movements, as well as weighted kettle bell exercises if the athlete is of appropriate age/fitness level. I focus on position specific foot speed, agility, and power development drills that I personally used and coached during my collegiate playing and coaching experience. My sessions end with anaerobic conditioning development/power development as a way to enhance the upper level performance of the athlete.
