More About Coach Chris
Coach Chris Galippo has been coaching at the High School level for the past 2 years in Southern California's premier conference, the Pac-5. As a player he was coached by some of the greatest defensive and special teams minds in the history of the game of football. Those coaches include: Pete Carroll (Head Coach, Seattle Seahawks), Chuck Pagano (Head Coach, Indianapolis Colts), Ken Norton Jr. (Defensive Coordinator, Oakland Raiders), John Baxter (Special Teams Coordinator, USC Trojans), Joe Barry (Linebacker Coach, Los Angeles Rams), and Monte Kiffin (Defensive Coordinator, Florida Atlantic). While under their leadership as a player, Coach Galippo was often referred to as the "Quarterback of the Defense." He has taken the wealth of knowledge that was passed down to him through these "Football Giants" and translated it into a practical coaching style that will surely benefit players of all levels.
During his high school years, Coach Galippo, was a Parade All-American Linebacker. Hailing from Servite High School in Anaheim, CA, he was a Five Star Linebacker and the #2 overall prospect in America in 2007 according to ESPN. Galippo became the first defensive player to ever win the Pete Dawkins Trophy for being selected as the U.S. Army All-American Bowl's most valuable player. During his college years, he played for the University of Southern California where he was a Rose Bowl Champion two consecutive years. He started for the Trojans at the Mike Linebacker position for 3 years where he was named All-Pac 12 Third Team, a Butkus Award Semi-Finalist in 2009, and the Special Teams Player of the year in 2010. He signed as an Undrafted Free Agent by the Indianapolis Colts in 2012.
