Chester A.

Coach Chester is the offensive line coach at North Oconee High School. Originally from Luverne, Alabama, he played high school football at Luverne High School and was named the class 2A lineman of the year in 2003; amongst several other All-state and All County honors. During his senior year, after being approached and actively pursued by over 30 Division I colleges, Adams chose to accept a full scholarship with the University of Georgia.
As a college freshman, Adams contributed his talents enough to be awarded a spot on the All-SEC freshman team and solidified himself as a starter his junior year. ESPN named Adams the #9 offensive guard in the nation in 2007. After a successful senior season at UGA, he was drafted in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears. Unfortunately a knee injury shortened his professional football career and he made the highly supported decision to pursue his passion and become a college coach.
Coach Adams has been the head offensive line coach at North Oconee High School since 2009. In his five years of coaching, he has sent five linemen to the collegiate level. In the 2011 season, his offensive line solidified an offense that averaged 42 points per game, a running game that averaged 247 yards per game, and a passing attack that averaged 130 yards per game, for a total offensive average of 377 yards per game. Adams has an extensive knowledge of several run blocking & pass blocking techniques and blitz pick-up protections. He lives and coaches by the motto that his high school coach instilled in him: "Don't give up on what you want MOST, for what you want at the MOMENT".

"There is no question that every offensive possession is predicated on the success of the offensive line. In the game of football, there is NO other position on the gridiron that requires five separate individuals to work EVERY play as one cohesive unit. The game is either won or lost in the trenches."

I have put five guys in college within my first four years of coaching. Each year we have averaged over 35 points per game, over 150 yards rushing per game, and this year is special because we have a running back that has rushed for over 2300 yards this season.
