More About Coach Charles
During my 11 years of coaching I have coached 13 individual state champions, 30 Region Champions and 18 Indoor/Outdoor National Qualifiers all which covered the sprints, hurdles and jumping events. The Majority of my coaching experience has been on the high school level, but I have also trained ATHLETES all the way up through their forties! I am USATF level 1 certified as well as a Certified personal trainer. I look forward to working with you and turning you into the champion you KNOW you can be!
As most of you are I was a two sport athlete in high school. A 3 year varsity starter on the football field and 100m state champion on the track. Although undersized I received offers from a few Division 1 Schools but, choose to go the track and field route at Coastal Carolina. After my stint at CCU I went on to compete on the Europe Athletisme Promotion Circuit during the 2009 indoor season.
My plan is to make you faster than the competition POINT BLANK PERIOD. Speed kills, it can be taught and that is what I am here for. I will improve your straight ahead speed as well as your lateral speed. If you play DB we will work on the back pedal/shuffle, press coverage, how to open your hips and play in space. If Receiver is your thing ROUTE Running will be a must. Perfecting the routes, learning how to fend off defenders and how to play the ball. Whatever position you play the overall goal is still he same. FASTER THAN THE COMPETITION!

Trust the process"...there has been countless times I've heard this from coach proctor. I remember when he first came into my life my junior year and told me that he would sit at every basketball game front row if he had to so I would run for him and he kept his word. He held me accountable for every action and taught me to never be satisfied with my accomplishments always want more for myself. He taught me that when everyone is against you that's when you perform your best because nobody expects you to do anything and it kills them to see you do good in life. He wasn't just a coach but also a mentor that I could relate to and communicate with that I couldn't do with a lot of other coaches. He always taught us as young men that whatever you do in life you strive to be the best at what you do no matter what it may be. He transformed not only my body but my mindset which was major. Every time I stepped foot on a track,basketball court, or football field I expected nothing but greatness from myself. He helped me in life in so many ways I could never repay him and gave me more than just state championship rings but more importantly memories that will last forever and that nobody can take from me.
