More About Coach Chantae

I have trained athletes from elementary level to high school level in multiple track and field events. I like woking with any age group that is ready to work and get better! I am experienced in multiple events as a heptathlete and know a lot about training programs, which I learned as an athlete at Nebraska, training under my own coach, and training with the Florida Gators.

I am a 2012 track and field Olympian in the heptathlon. I competed at the University of Nebraska where I was a 4 time All-American and multiple Big 12 Champion in the heptathlon and pentathlon. I am also the school recorder holder at Nebraska in the pentathlon and heptathlon. I am still training for the 2020 Olympics!

During a typical session I will take the athlete through a warm-up, making sure each drill is done with correct form, such as great arm positions and great foot strike on the ground. Next, we will do event specific drills, that will transition us into full speed work on the event we are working on. I also have core and hip strengthening exercises that I have my athletes do because of how important those are for track athletes across the board.

WINTER: I have an indoor facility that allows us to work out of. For sprinters we can work on block work. For every event we can also do speed work and conditioning on a Noramco treadmill.
