More About Coach Cassie
I received my Master's degree in Strength and Conditioning from Springfield College, a highly regarded program in the field. I have personally played at the collegiate level and coached at the high school level in a number of sports. I am available for off season coaching for any sport. I am here to get you or your student to the next level, whatever that goal is. I will meet with you to assess strengths and weaknesses, goals, and level of fitness. From there we will work together to create a weekly program (or more frequently, if needed) to get you performing at your highest level. Get started today to achieve your personal dreams!
I played JV/V basketball, soccer, and softball starting in middle school. 3-point shooting champ as a sophomore in high school. 3 time allstar in basketball, allstar in soccer as well. I played D2 basketball, soccer, and rugby in college.
As a basketball coach I have coached middle school and high school students. As a middle school coach I took a team of girls from loosing every game they played to winning their last game of the season against a team that previously beat them by 40+ points. As a high school basketball coach I coached the JV/B team. I had the girls that the V and JV/A team didnt think had the potential to succeed and turned them into players that both teams later in the season, after I developed them, took them from my team to play as starters on their teams. They were loosing every game as well, then we played the undefeated team of the conference and beat them.
I am great at developing and fine tuning their sport skills and making them into the players that no other coach thought had potential.
As a rugby player I started playing in college. There are 15 positionson the field and I was able to play 14 out of the 15 and well.
As a soccer player in high school I was voted to be the goalie because no one else wanted to do it. Our soccer team was not the greatest so other teams would get anywhere from 50-70 shots on me per game and we never lost by more than 2. In college the short time I played before I fell in love with rugby no one scored on me.
A typical session will greatly depend on skill, athleticism, age, and what level they are at physically and the first session would be an assessment of the above to properly tailor to their individual needs.
Warm-up (5-10 mins)
Plyometric drills
Skill drills
Conditioning drills
Games
I like to end each session with some type of fun game to reward the athlete and to give perspective of what they've worked the whole hour.
I keep the drills as fun as possible and mix them up alot so the athlete wont get bored and so they will have fun while learning what they need to, to get better. They don't realize they are working if they are having fun doing it. I like to do alot of coaches challenges so they challenge me which makes them work harder because lets face it we all want to beat our coach. :) I very much coach in a style that I wont have you do something I can't do myself because they won't see the point in doing it. Coaches must lead by example.
