More About Coach Bryan Wesley

I have been coaching athletes since qualifying as college athletics at Arizona State University. At the time, I was part of a youth track and field club held by my mentor Marcus Brunson which has a series of 40 young children under the age of 10. I teach speed mechanics, and essentially I coach the kids up through a strength and conditioning phase of training. I also train a variety of people who are just into General Fitness and Functional Movement. My main focus within this particular group of people is mobility, flexibility, and stability within the core. The reason being is the ability to "feel good in their day and night activities". I have coached athletes from levels of junior high school all the way up to the collegiate level. I typically work with athletes from ages 12-40 years old.

I attended Long Beach Poly High School and was part of a CIF Champion football team in 2003/2004. I transferred to a school in Moreno Valley, CA where I was part of a football team that went to 2nd Round Playoffs every year. I was all league at Cornerback and had 434 yards receiving and 632 yards rushing as a offensive player. My biggest high school highlight was placing 10th overall in the state of California with a time of 10.58 in the 100 meters. That got me into Arizona State University which I was part of a 39.22 4x100 meter relay team. Post Arizona State era, I ran a personal record of 10.21 in the 100 meters and 20.71 in the 200 meters. Elite/Professional Career: 10.21 (100m) .. 20.71 (200m) .. 6.71 (60m)

The essence of progression with any craft is "the little things". In order to be functional, there needs to be mobility, and to be mobile, that requires flexibility. The two essential requires a strong core which stability. So depending on the client's request on the length of the session. The first item on the agenda is "foundations". In other words, people like to call it a warm up. Second item in the agenda, drills and muscle activation exercises, in order to get the muscles fired up and ready to go.

After these two items, it is based on the program I written up for the client. I use a periodization workout regime which typically is set up for me to train my client 3 to 4 times a week, in a period from one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes.

Client Reviews

I hired Bryan to work with both my daughter (11) and my son (8). He is fantastic with the kids and his knowledge of breaking down running into trainable pieces is unmatched. I would highly recommend Bryan as a trainer for anyone that wants to either get faster or just run more efficiently.
Bryan has been an immense help in getting me to get back in shape. He is knowledgeable, patient, persistant and respectful and these are incredible talents for a trainer to have.
Best workout I have had I am getting better mobility and definition. Bryan knows everything you need to get in shape and live a healthy life I would recommend his workouts to anybody.
Bryan is an excellent personal trainer with both personal and professional knowledge of the human body. He individualizes each workout to me and changes them based on my goals and progress. I definitely recommend Bryan to anyone trying to get in shape!!
Bryan... A guru in the gym. Well experienced in working the body and its minor injuries. Rather going to him than my physical therapist. He's got the right mindset to get me motivated, moves that stimulate my personal needs, and truly a mench.
Bryan really understands how I feel as an injured athlete, he is able to present me another perspective on my recovery by giving me workarounds that stimulate muscle action and keep me from losing gains. My core focus is acrobatics and flexibility, together with his reaction and strength drills I am able to reach high performing levels defying my surgeon's prognosis. I am not a professional, but I sure like taking heed of a professional training with Bryan, he really understands how to optimize performance.
