More About Coach Brian

I have 12 years of Division I strength and conditioning experience. As a head strength coach, I have had success working will all sports as I have been a head football, basketball and Olympic sport strength coach. I am certified through the CSCCa and USA Weightlifting as well as the American Red Cross.

In addition to my coaching experiences, I am a former All-American and All-Conference football player for Division II Bloomsburg University.

My major goal is to prevent injury and teach prospective athletes the proper mechanics for speed, agility and weight training. All of my sessions include warmup, plyometrics/speed work or agility training. This is followed by weight room work and some sort of metabolic work (conditioning). These are the same sessions that my division athletes follow.

Each session will contains will generally contain the following:
1) Dynamic Warm Up and Movement Prep- This will include general warm up and specific warm up activities geared toward the sessions focus.
2) Correctives/Core Work individual needs- During this time we will do corrective exercises geared around the specific needs of the client. We will also perform core work which may include bridging in various angles, traditional core work and med ball core work.
3) Movement Session- This area is broad. Dependent upon the needs of the clients. May include speed work, agility work, plyometric work or more mobility/dynamic flexibility work. Depends on the needs.
4) Strength- Majority of our time will be spent here as improved strength is the root of all athletic qualities. The actual lift will be designed to meet the needs of the client. Depending upon the level and experience of the athletes, the first few sessions/weeks may be a lot of teaching. I like to spend a lot of time making sure my athletes can master the basic movements before we move on to more complicated and advanced techniques.
5) Metabolic Conditioning- The type and intensity of the conditioning session again will be designed around the client. At my facility, I have many different modalites to choose from when it comes to conditioning. I like to use traditional and non traditional means to condition my athletes.
6)Cool down/Flexibility

Client Reviews

Thanks Brian!
He did a great job isolating some things I needed to work on and helping me understand how to design better workouts myself in the future.
