More About Coach Brennan

As prior Division 1 Track and Field athlete, and dedicated coach, I bring a wealth of experience working with athletes across various levels and age groups. My coaching journey began during my own college athletic career, where I competed in Division 1 Track and Field at UC Irvine. During this time, I had the privilege of mentoring young athletes, aged 10-16, helping them improve their speed and performance on the track through focused mechanics and mental discipline training.

Currently, I serve as an assistant sprint coach at Pasadena City College, working under the esteemed guidance of Innocent Egbunike and Patrick Williams. In this role, I've had the opportunity to work with college-aged athletes at the Junior College level, assisting them in honing their skills and achieving their athletic goals.

My coaching approach is informed by my personal experience as a competitor at the NCAA Division 1 level, where I gained valuable insights into the demands of high-level athletics. Additionally, I am a certified personal trainer through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), equipped with the knowledge and expertise to support athletes in optimizing their physical conditioning and performance.

I take pride in helping athletes of all levels unlock their full potential and achieve success on and off the field. Whether it's guiding aspiring athletes to varsity teams or supporting individuals in their journey to collegiate athletics, I am committed to empowering athletes to reach their highest aspirations.

I ran track and field at the Division 1 collegiate level for UC Irvine in the 4x1m, 400m, 200, and 4x4m (with the occasional 800m). I have won All-Big West Honors, Big West Athlete of the Week. My main event was the 400m, where I had a personal best of 47.41. In Junior College, I attended Pasadena City College, running 47.71, winning the Southern Pacific Conference, and getting 4th in the CCCAA State Championship.

Sessions can vary from person to person, but all would entail some form of drills, speed work, and workouts specialized for your event! Form is critical, and has gifted me several of seconds in a multitude of different events. We will work on frontside/backside mechanics, block starts, relay handoffs, anything you need! You tell me what your goal is and I will tailor a workout to your expertise.

I am certified on weight/strength training, as well as nutrition, and I know first hand how to pair everything together to be the best track and field athlete possible.
