More About Coach Brendan

For 3 years I coached college basketball and strength and conditioning for UW-Eau Claire men's basketball. Aspiring to better myself in the exercise science field, I acquired my master's degree in strength and conditioning from UW-La Crosse. Previously, I have worked with professional (NHL) , NCAA Division 1-3 (Tulane University, UM-Duluth, UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, etc.), high school, middle school, and grade school athletes.

My current certifications are Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), USAW Sports Performance Coach Level 1 (USAW-L1SP), NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist (NASM-PES), ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and AED and CPR certified.

I played college basketball at UW-Superior where I was a 4 year letter winner, 2x Captain, and 2x All-Conference player in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).

The first session I’ll take anthropometric measurements (height, weight etc.), movement screens, and strength tests to calculate your athletic ability and figure out your goals long term and short term. After I have that information I will setup an individualized program for the athlete for all upcoming sessions while periodically revisiting goals, tests, screens, and measurements to record growth.

A typical 1 hour strength session will start with an extensive warm-up followed by the strength training plan with recovery at the end if time allows. Extended sessions longer than 1 hour will include application of medicine ball training, plyometrics, movement skill, and conditioning to further increase athletic ability.

Sessions can be specifically for conditioning, plyometrics, movement skill, and medicine ball training.

Client Reviews

I have known Brendan Bauer for a number of years. He has worked directly with our basketball team and the players have been very receptive to his enthusiasm & knowledge of basketball strength & conditioning. The players and our program have benefited immensely from his training and I would highly recommend him if you are looking to improve your performance.
It was clear to me on day 1 of working with Brendan that he has a passion for developing athletes to reach their highest potential. His commitment to staying up to speed or ahead of the latest trends in this business along with treating each athlete with the utmost respect is visible on a daily basis. Brendan’s commitment to serve each athlete’s needs individually is something that he takes personally and he does not cheat that process.
Brendan has a lot of experience working with athletes getting them ready for peak physical performance. He takes his work serious and gives his full attention to each athlete so they can improve as much as possible. He has a great amount of knowledge and that has continued to increase over the years that I've known him. I'd recommend him for anybody who is trying to get in better physical shape!
Brendan is an extremely competent coach who is attentive to various abilities of individuals. He possesses the ability to progress and regress movements appropriately, based on his understanding of human biomechanics. He has a great sense of humor and has the ability to interact with clients with a healthy balance of fun and hard work.
