More About Coach Brad

As a strength and conditioning coach I design programs to provide athletes with an in season or off-season training program. These programs will aide an athlete in improving their strength, speed, agility, and flexibility. These physical fitness characteristics will allow the athlete to become better skilled and conditioned for his or her sport, as well as provide injury prevention. This program will focus on core, balance, flexibility and basic resistant training techniques, along with sport specific skills, which will all combine to improve any athletes of any size, age, or sport. It will also provide important nutrition, and daily skills that an athlete should become aware of, and gain an understanding of in order to maintain a healthy body. My program will provide each and every athlete with the necessary mental and physical training necessary to help each individual reach his or her full potential and achieve success. Currently I am a Biology and an Anatomy and Physiology teacher at Shelton High School with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from and a Masters of Eductation. For over 11 years I have served as a strength and conditioning coach organizing and monitoring programs for various Connecticut high schools as well as off-season condition camps for all ages. These programs has entailed motivating and influencing student athletes of all ages, both male and female, to give their best effort every day to prepare and improve them physically and mentally. I have also coached in a variety of Strength and Conditioning settings and hold certifications Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA weight lifting, as well as, my first aid and cpr.
I believe I have acquired and continue to gain the necessary characteristics to motivate athletes of all levels to prepare themselves physically and mentally. I hold a strong willingness and desire to help athletes find the right direction for their future in education and life. My goal as a coach is to influence my athletes to work hard to be the best they can be in order to have a successful future.
