More About Coach Brad
I am currently an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach with the United States Tennis Association at the USTA West Training Center. Before the USTA I was a Personal Trainer for 2 years, an Athletic Performance Intern at Baylor University training the football team, and an intern at Boston University working with all sports. I work with all ages, groups and sports.
Through High School I was a 4 year varsity Soccer and Tennis player. Selected as All Conference 1st Team Soccer and Fall Male Athlete of the Year (Maine). I continued playing soccer all through college at the University of New England (Div. III).
Once goals are decided I create a plan specifically for each individual to achieve success. Each session will start with a full warm up including: movement prep, mobility, activation and prehab exercises. After the warm up it would depend on the individuals goals; if they have more sport specific goals then technique an skill drills will be done, if their goals are more strength/conditioning oriented then we would go into the conditioning. We would then move on to whatever we didn't complete in the prior group (skills/technique or strength/conditioning) as the secondary emphasis. Once we are finished we would go through core, cool down and stretching. That is a basic outline but somedays would stray from it a bit to add in other aspects as well.
