More About Coach Bobby

Closing in on 20 years of service, I have spent the past 18 years battling, challenging, and demanding athletes in the DFW Area to reach beyond their limits to unlock their true potential. While still serving as a teacher and coach at the high school level, I am looking to jump start my next phase of coaching which will consist of more sport specific training outside the athletic period.
These were my stops along the way
2002 - 2009 Football, Basketball, Track, and sport performance coach at the Middle School level. Feel free to visit my former school to get a visual of what the boys accomplished during our time together. "The accomplishments are on the wall." John F. Kennedy Middle School.
2009 - 2017 Football, Basketball and sport performance coach at South Grand Prairie High (we played for two Basketball Regional Championships and one state championship) and Duncanville High school.
2017 - 2020 Football, Basketball, Soccer, and sport performance coach Irving Independent School District

I can think of a number of undersized coaches with FAR achieving accomplishments. I was a "three" sport athlete in middle and high school. Though I had great aspirations of being a leading quarterback, my size and lack of dominate arm strength betrayed me. These attributes taught me to find ways to over achieve in spite of my short comings. One of the greatest lessons learned was weight training in and out of season.
I went on to letter in football and track in high school and ran track at Dallas Baptist University.
My greatest accomplishments though, have been as a coach! My athletes year after year over achieve in their respective sports.

During a session for speed
1. Athletes will spend 5 to 7 minutes warming up.
2. The athlete will push or pull a sled 4 to 7 sets at 50 yards, weight will be adjust based on the athlete's strength.
3. In the weight room the athlete will then deadlift with the hex bar 5 sets of 5.
4. We will complete the workout with four rounds of planks, ladder movements and plyo box jumps
