My training philosophy is constructed around making a dream become a reality. I sit down with each athlete and get to know them and what they want out of their sport. Once we develop the dream or main goal, we break it down into smaller goals by year, month, week, and per day. I ensure that my athletes are warmed up and stretched very well before each work out. After they warm up their primary muscles they will be using and have the body warm, I would being with the more power movements (power cleans and other Olympic Lifts). Following the Olympic and power lifts, I would then combine an exercise with a sport specific movement. The reasoning for this is to facilitate positive transfer of strength in the exercise to the sport specific movement. This rapidly increases kinesthetic awareness of the athlete making their development a consistent progression. Each day is a different day and I do my best to have each day be something different keeping the athlete busy and learning different exercises. At the end of each session I have my athletes do a cool down and often times foam roll. When all of this is done we discuss what we did for the day and provide motivation to the athlete.
