More About Coach Barry
As a coach I have worked with athletes from age 8 up to athletes signed with professional clubs and competing at the Olympic level. Most of the athletes I work with are between age 12 and 18, that age where motivation and aspirations grow and become within reach. I have worked with youth professionals in Ireland, as well as many Olympic athletes through my time studying in the field of Exercise Science and Human Performance. In New England I led top US Soccer Development Academy players through Soccer Performance programs with an emphasis on Injury Prevention. In the last 3 years, while living in the Bay Area, over 80 soccer athletes have been through my club-neutral soccer specific performance programs
Graduates of my program have gone on to compete at the college level. While others have improved their level of performance enough to get recognized as a top prospect, selected for ODP regional squads and picked for the National Training camps and tournaments.
I am currently the Head of Performance and Athletic Development at San Francisco's top soccer club, leading over 15 teams and 260 athletes each season, through programs designed to improve the athletic side of their game; speed, strength, agility and fitness. I am also the head coach of a Boys High School soccer program in SF.

Competing professionally in Europe thought me a lot. A lot about the demands of high level sport, both physically and technically. As well as the dedication and perseverance it takes to compete at the highest level. This dedication and perseverance was rooted in everything I did, from doing the simplest of drills to the best of my ability, every single day, to create habits that stand to me today.
