More About Coach Anthony
I have been the head coach of the Carolina Roadrunners Track and Field Club for the past 4 years. I have coached track and field at the middle and high school level. I am currently certified through AAU positive coaching. I currently coach athletes 5 thru 18 and prefer coaching athletes that are 400meters up to the 5k. I have experience in coaching the long and triple jump.
I was a high school state champion and state record holder in the 1600 meter relay in doors and outdoors. I was an all county, and all conference individual recipient for 2 years in the 800 meter run and a all county, conference, regional and state 400x4 relay team member for 2 years. I made the all conference team for 2 years in Cross-Country and was rewarded team MVP for 2 years. I was rewarded a partial athletic scholarship in track and field to Western Carolina University in 1987. I competed in the Southern Conference Collegiate Association in Cross-Country and Track and Field while at Western Carolina University.
I typically assess where an athlete is in terms of emotional, physical, and desire before putting together a person centered plan. The plan consist of nutrients, weight lifting, track and field workout, and road workout for long distance runners only.
