I was recruited in 1996 to start the first club team for girls high school lacrosse representing Maury High School in Norfolk, Va. From 1996-2010 I continued coaching that team and when the HR Lax championship games began in 2000, we won four of them. In 2010 I coached girls youth 10-11 thru HR Lax and became a certified referee for girls lacrosse. In 2012-2014 I was again recruited to coach a girl's high school team at Cox in Virginia Beach, VA. This team participated all three years in the HR Lax championship games and won the 2014 championship which led us to the VA state Girls Club Championship which we won. In 2015 I took a break from coaching and worked as a certified referee. 2016-2022 I returned to coach Maury High School girls lacross team where we participated all three years in the championship games. In 2018 I was awarded Coach of the Year by US Lacrosse, the sports governing body.

I grew up on Long Island, NY with 5 brothers and two sisters who all had sticks in our hands as soon as we could walk. I played through my high school years on the W.T. Clark High School team in East Meadow, NY.

A typical first session would entail getting to know the child's mindset and basic skills thru stick games. We complete a short warm up with cradle runs and ladder exercises. Then we advance to wall ball drills.The next part of the session involves dodging, passing, shooting, and defense drills. At the end we discuss the session and I provide positive feedback with recommendations for practice.
