More About Coach Alexander

I have 15 years of competitive and coaching experience. I currently coach at two different swim teams, one club and one high school. Before the pandemic, I worked at the Y of Pasadena as a Personal Trainer, Fitness Coach, and Swim Instructor. I am a certified USA Level 2 and American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) Level Two. I am a certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, where I am nearing completion of my Performance Enhancement Specialist Certification and Nutrition Specialist Certification. I have attended multiple workshops and clinics, and have coached and trained with athletes at all levels of sport, including beginners to NCAA, Pro, Olympic, Paralympic, and National and International.

I swam club in high school where I qualified for YMCA Nationals 3 times, with one finals appearance. I then swam Division 1 for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I continued swimming competitively afterwards, and have recently retired.

A typical session is specifically designed to focus on a client's individual goals. We will warm up, perform mobility and light core exercises, complete the main workout, and finish with skill based movements to maintain and improve any athletes proficiency. I also offer thermogenic manipulation, such as an ice bath, foam rolling, and performance event management at a client's disgression.

Coach Alex is awesome. He is flexible with scheduling and is a subject matter expert in his field. My swim times have improved after just a couple of sessions. I am recommending to him my friends.
